The Science Is In; Conservatives Are Stupid

It’s not a coincidence that if someone thinks that covid is a hoax then you can probably guess who they voted for. If they think that masks are oppression then you can probably guess what they think of Colin Kaepernick or their views on climate change. On the spectrum of personality types there’s always about 35-40% of the population who consistently go through life with a sense of resentment, that society is out to get them, that science is a scam, that the media is all lies and they’re sick of being told that they’re wrong and stupid and racist. The thing is they are wrong and stupid and racist.

Conservatives consistently score lower on IQ tests, and the lower the IQ the stronger their conservatism. Conservatism has consistently been associated with racist ideologies for as long as social scientists have kept track. Conservatism is strongly correlated to individuals with brain damage (the same is true for strong religious beliefs). Conservatives are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories, deny basic science, make decisions based on emotional considerations rather than rational considerations and are more likely to get into fights.

Conservatives have been found to have a significantly enlarged amygdala, the area of the brain that processes strong emotions like fear and disgust. In eye tracking experiments conservatives consistently find the most negative images and linger upon them for longer periods of time. Their brains are literally wired to respond to fear, paranoia, disgust and negative feelings of self worth. What social scientists have termed a conservative negativity bias.

The conservative brain is quite literally lower IQ, more racist, fearful and paranoid, less rational, more emotional, prone to fights and has a strong sense of resentment.

So if you think covid is a hoax just like climate change, or that masks are more oppressive than systemic racism and that Faux News is credible information you might want to consider how strongly those attributes correlate with being a paranoid stupid racist.
